Pixie's Pretty Pink Dress Pattern ~ FREE Pattern!

Hello,

I know most of you have seen my Pretty Pink Dress pattern in my Notes on the Pixie HeartStrings FB page. But now, through the generosity of Leslie from Buttercup Babies, I have the pattern to offer you FREE in PDF form. How nice is that? Thank you so much Leslie!
This is what I love most about the crochet & knit communities. The way they are willing to share their time and talent time and time again. It is so important to me to help keep the art of handmade alive. And this type of generosity is just another way of helping to do just that.
If you would like a copy of this pattern you can find it HERE. I hope you feel free to share it with anyone you like. It is meant to be a gift to you all because I think you are wonderful.
And I would love to see any dresses that you make with it! It is always so exciting to see one of my creations come to life through someone else's talents. Let's all inspire, Share, Teach, & Love one another...
And if you haven't already LIKED Buttercup Babies on FB please do. You can find her on Etsy and Ravelry too! She does some beautiful things with string...

Warmest Wishes,
Pixie

  4. Muchas gracias por compartir tan hermoso patrón, sólo tengo una pregunta, lo hice y me quedó con menos vuelo, dónde y cómo tengo que aumentar, esto es en la parte de la falda.
    Muchas, muchas gracias

  5. Hello there, I am making this dress now and I was a bit nervous of the pattern but once I got into it . It was so easy and fun and so fast to make. I'm really enjoying and just wanted to take the time to tell you. Awesome job in creating this pattern.

  6. Hi there,

I am making this, and I'm on round 8 where you divide for the sleeves. There are 42 3-DC clusters in the previous round, but the numbers you give in round 8 don't add up to 42. You give directions to work over so many 3-DC clusters, but 6+8+12+8+6=40, not 42. What do I do there? My thought was to work across 7 instead of the 6? Thanks for sharing this pattern and for any help you can provide :)

  9. Hello, I like this dress pattern so much it is so pretty. I have a question on the skirt portion of the dress. It is very simple of repeating row 2 until the desired length is reached. The Pattern repeat is (*SC, CH 2, SC) skip a SC then repeat the *. The picture of the dress looks like it almost has stripes down an "A" line dress. When I do the repeats in the same stitch or in 3 stitches my dress looks like the start stitch. It is still pretty but I want mine to look like the picture on the pattern. Is the repeat all in one SC? I am using the suggested hook sizes.

    Thanks for your reply

    1. Think of it as a mini v stitch and do the repeat in the center of each v stitch.

    2. I agree with the comment on 18 May 2018. I am doing the repeat in the two chain space of the "mini v stitch" but it doesn't look like the picture.

  10. Hello! I love this pattern! I started making it but it is too small for my chunky. 😉 I am pretty sure I can just start with a longer chain and adapt as I go from there, but I was wondering if you know what multiple I need to use to base it off of? Would it be a multiple of 4? Thank you!

  11. I also had the same problem as Stephanie Bacon in Row 8 the clusters add up to 40 but the pattern has 42. I notice all the replies were removed. Is there an error in the pattern or is it something I'm doing?

    1. I have the exact same problem, my thought was to do over 14 dc clusters, instead of 12

  16. Love this little dress. My question is--does the turning chain count as a DC? Please advise. Thank you very much for this beautiful pattern.

  18. To get the stripe looking pattern,
make sure when you do the sc ch2 sc part
that you're putting your stitches in Exactly the ch1 hole
and Not into the sc on each side.
If you don't do this the look of the pattern will change.

  19. If I want to make pattern a size or two smaller, do I just use smaller needle size?

  20. I have been crocheting 50+ years yet I had to rip this out three times after crocheting down to skirt. I finally had to improvise and figure it out on my own.
I dont know how the other crocheters were able to make it according to the pattern.
Some rows did not have a starting sc stitch or dc at the beginning it just went right into the pattern stitches.
You didnt specify if turning chain counted.
If I were you I would have someonetest your pattern.
Also I dont see directions for the flower.

  21. Is there a revised version of this pattern to address all the above questions ?
